prom ideas

With winterball, dances, banquets and prom, there is enough time for girls to show off celebrity inspired show stoppers or individual dresses that no other girl can wear. For this season's fashion runway consisted of many rich fabrics with the help of satin and colorful hued mini's (aiding the spring theme), preppy, charming with popping colors (carven's the pro for this) and shiny but polished pieces seemed appropriate. However, the power of celebrities can influence how a girl dresses like sparkles and glitter brought by Taylor Swift or even goth but sophisticated represented by Rooney Mara. Either way, a girl can look equally glam on her (second!) special night. xoxo

Paris Fashion Week Fall 2012 Street Style

Besides the glamorous creations that designers have to offer, the street style of fashion week truly makes the event worth while for. With statement making accessories (those ribbon cuffs anyone?) insane patterns splashed on beautifully crafted silhouettes and futuristic but wildly innovative shoes (those flaming green shoes), who knew the dirty streets would be so inspiring? These are some of the many fashion choices that blew my mind and immediately caught my eye...

show me some petal

Leave it to Alexander Mcqueen to bring the usual drama flair element to fashion week, but the excessive use of petals and feathers alike creates a more gentle layer of Mcqueen's fine collections. Going against flattering shapes and using unique sun visors as an accessory (new trend alert?) makes Mcqueen's collection still the unconventional, yet fresh inspiring outlook in spring fashion week.

E.T. meets Donatella

I can't decide which feature of each picture is most striking-the 70's inspired heavy bangs cut, multiple amounts of eye-popping glitter or the galactic influence over Versace's bonkers but enlivening take on space aliens but with chic-er outfits. Personally, I don't lean towards crazy seam lines or excessive use of shine or else it will look more of a 8-year old's dream princess gown. With cross patterns dominating the designs rather than the usual, safe floral interpretation, Versace delivers yet another risky series paying homage to loyal Christians but at the same time, nerd fighters with hot girlfriends.
